We have acquired a company  - we want their users' Outlook calendars meetings and appointments migrated to our company's outlook calendars

Hi there

We have acquired a company  - we want their users' Outlook calendars meetings and appointments migrated to our company's outlook calendars.

We would like to retain any recurring meeting information.

Any idea how can we do this please?

Thanks so much.

Hi Frob

Couple of questions please

1) First do we have new mailboxes created for the users in their organization in our environment ? or you just want to import only the calendars to a different account in your environment

2) Are you trying to migrate all the mailboxes of that acquired company to your environment ?

3) Is your aim is to create new users on your environment and import only their calendar data ?

If you have only handful of users lesser than 50 then import export pst will be easier for you.

Let us know the requirements so that we can proceed further

Hi Frob,

Except the above suggestion, you can also consider sharing Free/Busy information between two companies :

Configure Free/Busy Sharing Between Exchange Organizations

Using federated delegation, users in your on-premises Exchange organization can share free/busy calendar information with recipients in other Exchange organizations that are also configured for federated delegation. Free/busy sharing can be enabled between two organizations running Exchange Server 2010 and also between organizations with a mixed Exchange deployment.

Best regards,

Hi Sathish, please see my inline comments.

1) First do we have new mailboxes created for the users in their organization in our environment ? or you just want to import only the calendars to a different account in your environment.

We have already created new AD accounts and mail boxes for those new users.

2) Are you trying to migrate all the mailboxes of that acquired company to your environment ?

No mailboxes will not be migrated - instead new users will have new email address from our company.

3) Is your aim is to create new users on your environment and import only their calendar data ?

Yes, we are creating new users and intend to import only Calendar data.

If you have only handful of users lesser than 50 then import export pst will be easier for you.

We have several hundred new users so PST is not a viable option unfortunately.

I will wait for your answer.

Thanks so much.
